"For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show
unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I
work not among the children of men save it be according to their
faith." 2 Nephi 27:23
We saw so many miracles this week! I'll share a couple with you. :)
We had our second lesson with Brian and he is doing great! He read
from the Book of Mormon and is really interested in learning more. He
spent the first thirty minutes of our time together, just telling us
about what he thought about what he read. He participates during the
lessons and he even volunteered himself to say the closing prayer at
the end. He committed himself to church and we put him on date for
baptism, Oct. 7. His wife is a less active member but she is
supporting him so they came on Sunday. He is progressing so well! He
is a seeker of truth!
Our investigator, Tracy, is doing great. The only thing keeping her
from being baptized was that she wasn't married but when they were on
vacation this last week, they got married. So that was super exciting.
Then on Sunday, she told the Bishop that she is getting baptized this
Friday, and we thought her date was Sept. 1, but she has been planning
on this Friday so we are working on getting everything ready for that.
Unexpected baptisms are always a good surprise. :)
We had a member at church give us a basket of Sun Chips, Sunflower
seeds, and Capri-Suns for the Solar Eclipse. We have no idea who this
lady is, but that was so sweet!
