So this week we went to see Adrian's cousin, Rosie. We had a great lesson with her on the restoration. She is so great! She loved church, has been reading the Book of Mormon, brought her husband to church, and agreed to be baptized!!! We are super excited! We are going to try teaching her husband and son now so we can help the whole family make it to baptism. We also need to pray for a date for her to get baptized!
We have been meeting with Judy more. She likes the gospel principles that she has been taught, but is afraid to come to church. We brought a member with us and she was a great friend for her so hopefully that helps.
Since this is my companion's last transfer in her mission, we have been setting goals and making plans to help us make this the best transfer! We are so excited! It has already been great so far.
We had a great Sabbath yesterday. We were busy all day. We had ward council, then the normal three hours of meetings. Right after church, we had a lesson with Javiar. He is doing great! He is fourteen and the young men are just loving him. He comes to church ever Sunday and has been reading the Book of Mormon. He is very smart so he remembers a lot of what we teach him. We have been getting the young men involved in his lessons which has been great for him and them! After his lesson we had choir and I was the only soprano there so I was a little self conscious haha. It was an easy song though, so I did okay :) After choir we had lunch with a member and then went back to the church to give a church tour to Dustin and Katherine and their kids. That was awesome because we got the kids involved and they loved it! They were begging their mom to come back for church! That was great! Hopefully they come on Sunday! Then we had dinner with our ward mission leader and his wife, followed by a meeting with him. We had a plan to visit a less active member, but he ended up not being there, which is not normal for him. We felt impressed to go see Adrian instead and I think the Lord made that time free for us so that we could see him. He has been going through some rough things lately and really just needed to talk. I'm grateful that we were able to be there for him.
So, to be honest, I had a rough week. I"m just stressed about sending my companion home, I love her. So sorry this email isn't the greatest. I'll be doing better soon, I just have to get over this :)
I invite each of us to conside r this question. What shall we give in return for theflood o f light and truth God has pour ed out upon us?
Our beloved Father simply asks that we live by the truth we have received and that we foll ow the path He has provided. T herefore, let us take courage and trust in the guidance of t he Spirit. Let us in word and in deed share with our fellowm en the amazing and awe- inspiring message of God’s pla n of happiness. May our motive be our love for God and for H is children, for they are our brothers and sisters. This is the beginning of what we can d o in return for so much." Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Love you all!!
