Week 11

Hello Everyone!

Wow! I'm on my last week of training already! Its crazy how fast time flies. 

We finally got some good rain here. We had a burst of pouring rain/hail on Tuesday and then it has been raining on and off all day. FINALLY!!

We did a service project on Tuesday, we helped a member landscape her yard. It was really fun. We shovelled away a ton of dirt from her front yard and then helped her plant all of her bushes and flowers. It looked really great when we were done. We did have to shower afterward haha. They rest of that day, everyone we tried to see talked to us long enough to tell us why they couldn't talk to us and then kicked us out. 

On Wednesday my whole body was acting out in rebellion to the work I had done on Tuesday. We ended up not doing much that day because of it. We did have a lesson with David and it went really well. It was super awesome because the members that came with us were so touched by the Spirit and were able to bear testimony on exactly what he needed to hear.

We sticky note bombed Jeanie's door with quotes and scritures and little messages from us just to lift her spirits and help her throught the things she is going through. It was super fun.

We had a fantastic district meeting on Friday. It was the last one of the transfer so I have pictures from it. District meetings are awesome because we are able to be spiritually uplifted by other missionaries and we are able to get advice on our investigators.

We had exchanges on Saturday and that was so much fun. I stayed in Bend ans Sis. Densley went to Prineville. I was here with Sis. Hansen and I got to drive for the day!!!!! It was weird to drive after having not driven in 3 months. I had a lot of fun with Sis. Hansen and we were both able to recieve so much revelation! It was crazy! We got to go to a baptism for a child of some people who had been baptized here a few years ago. And then we were able to meet with some people that haven't aver let us share the gospel with them before haha. It was really cool.

Yesterday was just so great! I love going to church! We had great meetings that really answered some of my questions. That night we ate dinner with a member who has really beautiful dogs so we took pictures with them. Also, after dinner I hugged Sister Evans goodbye and my back popped and since she is a massage therapist she ended up giving me a back massage haha. That makes it sound really weird, which maybe it was, but we had tons of fun haha.

This week I started to take the challenge to Ponderize a scripture each week so I'm going to share my verse.

1 Corinthians 3:16

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

And I wanted to share a verse from my Book of Mormon study, Alma 42:23

"But God ceaseth not to be God, and mercy cometh because of the atonement; and the atonement bringeth to pass the ressurection of the dead; and the ressurection of the dead bringeth back mmen into the presence of God; and thus they are restored into His presence, to be judged according to their works, according to the law and justice." 

The church is so true!!
