Week 51

7/17/17

Wow! This week flew by and I can't even remember what happened. Let's
see what I can do ;)
We had a miracle on Tuesday! We went to an apartment complex to have a
lesson with a member that we are working with, but she wasn't home so
we decided to contact some people there. We've seen most everyone over
there before, but there was a new lady sitting outside. We went over
to talk to her and she was very nice! Turns out, she was a convert in
her senior year and had become less active. She was really nice to us
and just told us about the things going on in her life. She has pretty
much hit rock bottom, and then the missionaries show up :) She let us
in her home and we had a great visit. She let us get the information
we need to get her records in the ward and she told us we could come
back any time! We got her phone number and have gone by to see her a
few times already and we have been staying in contact with her. She is
so great and we are just so excited to have found her!
There really aren't any more stories from this week, but we have been
seeing so many miracles! The ward is getting closer to us and we have
a lot of people just open up to us and that really helps us know how
we can help. I'm so grateful for my companion. Ever since Sister
Williams has come here to Pringle, the area has shown great progress!
She is such a great missionary and a huge blessing in my life.
We had interviews with President and Sister Tateoka this week. I love
interviews so much 1) because I get such great advice and direction 2)
and I love talking to the Tateokas. President helps me see what I need
to work on and gives me the confidence to know that I can do it! He
told me that, "I love interviews with you because you are always so
open and you laugh at what is say." Hahaha I love President! Sister
Tateoka always gives me great advice and this time she gave me advice
on the goals I set for the remaining six months of my mission. She
shared with me, Luke 2:52
"52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."
Then she talked about how Jesus was strong intellectually, physically,
spiritually, and socially. She suggested that I set a goal in each of
those areas. I really liked that, I've always struggled with goals and
that really helped me! Mission presidents and their wives are called
of God and are inspired by Him!
Hopefully I have more to report next week!
Love,
Sister MacKay
