Week 27

1/30/17

So I honestly can't remember what happened this week haha. We had a Worldwide Missionary Broadcast and they made changes to our schedule and the key indicators. We have been asked not to change our schedules yet because our mission President is going to modify it for our mission's needs. We did follow the new indicators this week and that was so amazing. My companion and I are not ones to focus on the numbers, but it really helped us focus on the people better since we don't have to report as many numbers on lessons. I bet that was super confusing but I'm grateful for the changes and that's what matters haha.
We also had a Stake Missionary Conference for the Ward Missionaries and that was really cool too because they helped them understand what their calling is and how important they are, and gave them these great binders with materials to help them become more effective!
All of our planned lessons fell through this week and it was almost impossible to find anyone to teach so we didn't really have the most productive week. Wow, I really have nothing to email about, sorry....My companion only has one more transfer left so we are trying to decide if we will be together until she goes home or if she will get one more companion. I'm her fourth so she hasn't had very many.
And my sister, Amanda, is engaged!!!! So that's it.
"One blessing for which we can be grateful is that we are there in that sacrament meeting at all, gathered with more than one or two of His disciples in His name. There are some at home unable to rise from their beds. There are some who would like to be where we are but are instead serving in hospitals and providing public safety or are defending us at the risk of their own lives in some desert or jungle.
The fact that we are able to gather with even one other Saint and partake of the sacrament will help us begin to feel gratitude and love for God’s kindness.
Because of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the restored gospel, another blessing we can count is that we have the opportunity to take the sacrament each week--prepared, blessed, and passed by authorized servants of God. We can be grateful when the Holy Spirit confirms to us that the words of the sacrament prayers, offered by those authorized priesthood holders, are honored by our Heavenly Father." Henry B. Eyring
