Week 15

Hello Everyone!

Last Monday was my first Halloween on my mission..it was pretty boring. We had to be in at 6 and we didn't even get any trick-or-treaters :/ oh well. So our baptism that was supposed to happen last week had to be postponed so I still don't have a baptism. Its okay though, he is still super prepared and it will happen. 

We got a brand new car this week!! Its a 2017  We are pretty awesome. I actually don't have any pictures of the outside of it so I'll have to get on that, but we were pretty excited to have it. 

We got to go to a funeral this week and that was nice. We helped set up for the dinner and it was really fun to do dome service. I thought of my Dad the whole time :D 

President Tateoka enforced some more rules this week so our emailing time has been restricted to one hour so sadly my emails will probably not be very detailed. 

We met some really awesome people this week that have great potential but we haven't had the chance to contact any of them again. We did get to talk on the phone with Elder M. Russell Ballard's daughter-in-law haha. She is the Portland mission President's wife and she is the fellow shipper for one of our investigators. She gave us great advice and told us to put him on date for baptism so we have some work to do. 

We saw some miracles this week. One lady we contacted when we first got here was not interested at all. We found her again this week and she forgot that she had met us before and was more open and said we could come back!! Yay!!

I got to try sushi for the first time today.. I didn't like it.

Anyway, I love you all! I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to be the Lord's missionary! The church is so true!! 

Alma 37:36-37

36. Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.

37. Councel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if te do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
