HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
So this last week and a half was great! We got to do a lot of service, mostly manual labor which is always exciting because most people won't let the Sisters do hard work. We moved a lot of furniture and did some yard work.
Our investigator, Adrian, who met Elder Ballard has been progressing really well. We have great lessons with him and this last time I committed him to pray about a date to be baptized. You can see his strong desire to be baptized but he is so hard on himself and doesn't think he can do it. I know he is ready, for goodness sake! the man loves sharing the gospel already!! We gave him pass-along cards and he got super excited to give them to people!
Sis. Hartvigsen got the flu last week so we weren't able to do much proselyting, but when we went to lessons and stuff I got to drive the car so that was fun for me :D
So I had to give a training in Zone Training Meeting and for some reason, my stage fright was really kicking in as I was preparing. Then, to add to my fright, President and Sister Tateoka unexpectedly walked into our meeting!!!! That freaked me out so bad! It went well though, so I'm good ;)
I'm so grateful to be the Lord's servant, especially during this holiday season!!
"Being grateful in our circumstances is an act of faith in God. It requires that we trust God and hope for things we may not see but which are true. By being grateful, we follow the example of our beloved Savior, who said, 'Not my will, but thine, be done.'
"True gratitude is an expression of hope and testimony. It comes from acknowledging that we do not always understand the trials of life but trusting that one day we will." President Uchtdorf
There was another quote that was super cool about endings.
"In the light of what we know about our eternal destiny, is it any wonder that whenever we face the bitter endings of life, they seem unacceptable to us? There seems to be something inside us that resists endings.
